4 Month Appointment

Today Sara Kate had her 4 month appointment with the pediatrician. We can definitely tell she's a chunk so we were really interested in finding out how much she weighs. We learned that we definitely have a chunky monkey on our hands!! Here are her 4 month stats:

Weight: 15 lb., 4 oz. (90th percentile!!)
Height: 24.4 inches (60th percentile)
Head Circumference: 41.00 inches (60th percentile)

So in 2 months, she gained 4 lbs. and grew 2 inches. Guess her momma's milk agrees with her.
This picture says 15 lb., 6 oz. but she was kicking around so much I guess it officially clocked in at 15 lb., 4 oz. And as you can see, she wasn't very happy during her weigh in.
The doctor checked her over....
He listened to hear heart and lungs...
He did something with her legs and hips...
He looked in her ears...
And he looked in her mouth.
He said she's perfectly healthy, she's doing great, and to just keep doing what we're doing for the next 2 months! And then she got to get dressed and was a happy girl!
But that's because she didn't know what was coming... :-(
First came the oral vaccine, which I remembered to ask which one it was. It was the Rotovirus vaccine.
Then the super duper NOT fun part...a stick in each leg...
And then came the scream heard through the clinic...
And then I grabbed her and held her close. Her scream still made me sad, but it didn't get to me like it did last time because I knew what was coming. She cried for a minute but then she was fine. Here are her battle wounds.
Since she was such a good girl, she got to go to Target and pick out a couple new outfits! Ha! I guess I should say that mommy picked out a few new things for her in 3-6 month sizes while she took a little cat nap. :-)
Hopefully she'll do fine tonight, and she won't have any reactions. Guess only time will tell. It's about time to feed her so I better get off here!
