2 Year Appointment

Today Sara Kate had her 2 year well baby check up! Here are her stats:

Weight: 27 lbs (50th percentile)
Height: 33.5 inches (30th percentile)
Head Circumference: didn't say but she's in the 25th percentile

Looking back at 18 months, her stats were 23 lb., 8 oz. (50th percentile), 30.33 inches (20th percentile), and 18.1 inches (45th percentile). Since she's a big girl now, she got weighed on the big scale, which kind of freaked her out and I couldn't get a good picture. But this is a great picture of Chris' arm. :-)
Also since she's a big girl she got her height checked on the big wall measurer (not sure what to call it), which also freaked her out and she had to go to the baby height measuring device, which she also did not like.
Also, today was the last time they check head circumference! We got asked alot of questions, and she passed her exam with flying colors. She's doing wonderful and is right on track developmentally. She did NOT like the exam part of the appointment...didn't like her chest or back listed to, didn't like her throat looked at, didn't like her ears looked at...nothing!!
Pretty much the only time she was happy during the appointment was when she got to play in the lobby when we got there, when she was being held and not messed with during the appointment, and when she got to read some books while waiting for the doctor!
When I looked back at her 18 month appointment blog, I saw this picture and couldn't help but notice how much she has changed in 6 months!!!
One thing I asked the doctor about is getting her to eat vegetables since she's not very good at it. Dr. McCord said to cut the veggies up in small pieces or puree them and mix them with yogurt. She said kids love yogurt (which Sara Kate does) and it has such a strong flavor that it masks the taste of veggies! I tried it tonight, mixing zucchini with strawberry yogurt and it worked like a charm!!! The pediatrician is a genius! And I definitely thought that is a fun fact I needed to share. So ya'll are welcome. :-) But anyway, our girl is doing perfect and is right on track. We couldn't ask for anything more!!
