For some reason, this is the only picture I took Thursday, but it's so sweet...
Friday we went ahead and took Sara Kate to school and decided to go to Eureka Springs for the day. We went to Thorncrown Chapel (which I had never been to before), the big Jesus statue (also known as the Christ of the Ozarks), and come to find out there's a winery in Eureka (we have a history in all our travels to do wine and beer tasting together).Saturday was GAME DAY!!!!! We got up and hung around the house. Sara Kate played with Auntie Laura.
Then it was time to get ready. One of Sara Kate's teachers mom's (get all that? Ha!) made her this adorable dress and I couldn't wait to get her in it!! She looked ADORABLE!! We picked up some BBQ and headed to do a little tailgating. Chris' mom picked up Sara Kate while the rest of us went to the game. We almost weren't all able to go but at the last minute, we got a couple extra tickets thanks to our friends the Guthrie's. So it all worked out.
I have game pictures on my phone but I don't have time to load any up right now. The game was great, until the end. We were thisclose to beating the #1 team in the country. And really, Alabama didn't beat us, we beat ourselves. Hate when that happens, and it seems to happen alot to the Razorbacks...unfortunately! But we still had a great time. We ended up getting home late, eating left over BBQ and pretty much going to bed! Today was church, and we got a great surprise that our friends Jack and Erin were in town (they are our church friends who moved to San Antonio this spring). It was great to visit with them.
We had lunch, the girls got packed, we wasted a little time, and unfortunately it was time to head to the airport. It's always sad to leave Laura but I feel so blessed to have the kind of forever friend that I found in her years ago. Love you, Laura!! And Sara Kate misses you and Leslie already! :-)
Time to finish up laundry and get ready for the week. I need a weekend to recover from my weekend...ha! Hope ya'll have a great week!
